1942 A Love Story Songs


1942: A Love Story is a Hindi movie released in 1993. The movie stars Anil Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Jackie Shroff, Anupam Kher, Danny Denzongpa and Pran. The movie was the first ever to be given a U/A rating while featuring a scene, previously considered inappropriate for young children, showing the actors kissing. The film was a musical hit and was released some time after the death of the music director, R.D Burman. The film received five Filmfare Awards

Maine Pyaar Kiya Songs


Maine Pyaar Kiya starring Salman and Bhagyashree was released on December 29,1989. It was produced by Tarachand Barjatya and directed by Sooraj R Barjatya. Maine Pyar Kiya was the biggest hit of 1989 in India, one of the most successful Bollywood movies of the 1980s, and it established Salman Khan's status in the industry. Maine Pyar Kiya won four Filmfare Awards in 1990, including Best Film for producer Tarachand Barjatya. Salman Khan was also nominated for Best Actor, and won the Best Debut award for his performance.

The Maine Pyar Kiya soundtrack was very successful in India. Suman's role was sung by the famous playback singer Lata Mangeshkar; S.P Balasubramaniam sang for Prem. The opening track, Aate Jaate, is said to have been inspired by Stevie Wonder's 1984 single, I Just Called to Say I Love You, while the track Mere Rang Mein Rangne Wali was directly inspired by Swedish rock band Europe's 1986 single, The Final Countdown and theme from Love Story's Where Do I Begin. The track Antakshri was a medley of various Bollywood songs based on the Antakshari game, which was popularized with this film's release. The remaining tracks, including the popular Dil Deewana, were original compositions.

Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak Songs


Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak ,which was released in 1988, is a Bollywood film written by veteran producer/director Nasir Hussain and directed by his son Mansoor Khan. The film introduced Hussain's nephew, Aamir Khan to Indian moviegoing audiences. Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak is a landmark movie in the history of Indian Cinema. Its Filmfare Award-winning music, romantic storyline, and young actors shifted the momentum away from the violent and aging ethos that was prevalent in the films at the time. It also made melodious tunes once again popular over the 80's trend of Disco and Breakdance influenced soundtracks which was launched by another landmark movie Qurbani in 1980. Indiatimes Movies ranked the movie amongst the Top 25 Must See Bollywood Films.

The film soundtrack contains 5 songs composed by duo Anand-Milind, and won them the Filmfare Best Music Director Award.
